Core and Capacity Building

Empowering NDIS Participants to Live Independently and Thrive

At Heroes Assist, we deliver support work services under both core supports and capacity building supports, in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Our focus is on building capacity, promoting inclusion, and helping participants work toward their goals through consistent, person-centred care.

Core supports – Assistance with daily life

  • Support with activities of daily living, such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and general household tasks
  • Assistance with daily planning, budgeting, medication prompts, and routines
  • Transport and support to attend appointments, run errands, or access the community
  • Social and community participation, including recreational and interest-based activities

Capacity building supports

  • Improved daily living: supporting skill development in areas like cooking, routine building, communication, emotional regulation, and life management
  • Increased social and community participation: supporting access to social networks, education, volunteering, or work pathways
  • Support coordination: helping participants understand their NDIS plan, connect with service providers, monitor supports, and resolve barriers

Our trauma-informed team works closely with participants, families, and other providers to ensure all supports align with individual needs and NDIS plan goals.
